Soft wash vs pressure wash — what’s the difference?
Soft wash uses chemistry plus low pressure to kill and lift organic growth. Pressure washing uses high PSI to scrub. On Lake Stevens siding and many roofs, soft wash is safer; we save high pressure for concrete and some hardscape.
Will soft wash hurt my plants?
We pre-wet and rinse landscaping and use controlled application. Sensitive beds still get covered or rinsed thoroughly — mention prize shrubs or new plantings when you book.
How long until moss comes back on the roof?
Shade, tree litter, and north pitch speed regrowth. Treatment buys time; it doesn’t change the microclimate. Trimming overhangs helps more than any single wash.
Can you wash in winter?
On dry, above-freezing days, yes. Freeze-thaw and active storms pause us — the product needs dwell time that isn’t washed off by sideways rain.
Do you clean gutters as part of a house wash?
Light rinse of overflow residue sometimes, but packed trough cleaning is a different job. If gutters are the main problem, say so — we won’t pretend a soft wash replaces a scoop-and-flush.
